| The History Behind Ben Gibson Magic |
Ben first discovered magic when his older sister was dating a magician. A few simple tricks were shown to Ben but he never knew how they were done leaving him hanging in suspense. His ties to magic were cut short when the relationship turned and the two broke up making Ben forget any hope of ever learning to perform magic. Over the next few years the interest never faded as Ben struggled to learn any little simple trick he could. The magic that he learned was only how to vanish a coin and make a ring move slightly which was just enough to make his hunger grow even more. By the age of 17 is when things started to look up for Ben and the art of magic. He managed to find some places where a few tricks were revealed and bought a book written by the Mind Freak, Criss Angel, giving Ben a hand full of small tricks to learn. The following year he found a local magic group that was just planting its roots in Prince George. This left Ben with people to share his long lost passion with and the first real start to his magic career. At 20 years of age Ben perfected many of his tricks and had performed around the town of Prince George numerous times under the name of another magician. He felt it was time to set out to get his own name heard. The struggle was hard and still is but the first big break he had was when a writer from The Prince George Citizen, heard of Ben Gibson Magic and put a story and a picture of him in the paper. This drew a fair amount of attention to the young performer but not enough to get him anything more than a few looks. Ben is now at the age of 22 and things are looking up as he has performed many shows on his own. Still he is continuing to try to get his name heard and to perform for anyone who will watch. With his wife at his side they both are doing what they can to make the dream of Ben Gibson Magic a reality. |
